GK Insurance (Eastern Caribbean) Limited is a subsidiary of the highly regarded Caribbean conglomerate GraceKennedy Financial Group. The company is domiciled in St. Lucia and provides general insurance products in the Eastern Caribbean.
In 2004, GraceKennedy and East Caribbean Financial Holding Company Limited (ECFH) of Saint Lucia partnered to establish EC Global Insurance Company Limited. At the time, GraceKennedy held a 30% shareholding. Over the years, EC Global established a firm footing in the St. Lucian insurance market, with a reputation characterized by innovative policies and service excellence.
GraceKennedy evidenced its commitment to the general insurance business and to the Eastern Caribbean by acquiring the majority interest in EC Global Insurance Company in September 2014. The Company was rebranded to GK Insurance (Eastern Caribbean) Limited in early 2017.
In addition to St. Lucia, GK Insurance (Eastern Caribbean) Limited also operates in St. Vincent & the Grenadines via its Agency Partner, Priority Insurance Limited, and in Antigua & Barbuda via its Agency Partner, Star Insurance Agency Ltd.
GK Insurance (Eastern Caribbean) Limited is licensed in accordance with The Insurance Acts to write all classes of General Insurance business, namely: –

GK Insurance (Eastern Caribbean) Limited protects its security via reinsurance contracts with some of the world’s largest and A rated reinsurers, which include Swiss Re, Everest Re, SCOR Re, R+V Versicherung and Transatlantic Re.
